Hello, I was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me?

I’m a single mum, and my daughters dad is over seas and most of my family live far away from me / overseas too.

Im about to start a full time university course and my job has told me that they can no longer give me the 16 hours which I previously did. They’ve lowered my contract down to 8 hours. So therefore I am about to loose my working tax credits and I guess I’ll end up on income support. Universal credit has been rolled out in my area and I’m scared they’ll put me onto universal credit as they account your student loan and maintaince loan as income ?!?!

has anyone tackled this recently and has any advice? As the anxiety about all of this is driving me mad and not sure who to speak to as I keep getting passed on to department to department.

    Thank you
