 When you contact us we will collect personal data to enable us to send you publications and to keep you informed about news and issues that are relevant to single parents and their families.
 From time to time we may also use your personal data for marketing purposes to send you information about our membership, events, research and latest appeals.

 What information do we collect? How do we use it? If you are taking out membership or buying our publications we need to take your address, email address (if you have one) and delivery address. This allows us to process and fulfil your orders and to notify you of your order status. We also ask for your telephone number so that we can contact you urgently if there is a problem with your order.
 When you enter a contest or other promotional feature, we may ask for your name, address and email address so we can administer the contest and notify winners.
 Web site When you contact us via our web site, we ask for your e-mail address. We monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of our web site.
 We may use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to the web site, as well as new Gingerbread services, events and special offers. If you would rather not receive this information, please send an email to info@gingerbread.org.uk 
 When you place orders for publications, membership, gingerbread courses or make a donation on-line via our web site, the secure server encrypts all information sent to and from your browser using the SSL standard. Furthermore, as required by the UK Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we are able to disclose sensitive information to you.
 Disclosure to third parties Will Gingerbread disclose the information it collects to outside parties? Gingerbread does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others. From time to time we may exchange names with organisations working in partnership with Gingerbread.
