What are the important things for single parents that politicians should consider in the run-up to the next General Election? We'd like to know what single parents think, and then we'll tell Labour, the Conservatives, and the LibDems - have your say.

MEDIA STAR?

Have you  been affected by welfare reforms?

If you've recently been switched from Income Support to JSA because your youngest is aged 12 or over, we'd like to hear from you.

What impact has the changeover had on you and your family?

Would you be willing to talk about the issues as a media volunteer?

Have your say: contact jane.ahrends@gingerbread.org.uk

Independent TV company Love Productions is making a documentary for BBC ONE about being unemployed.  It's asked our help in finding parents to take part (see below).

Gingerbread cannot endorse particular programmes but if you  think you might be interested you can email our press office for pointers on what you might expect from being involved in media projects.

LOVE PRODUCTIONS

We are doing some research about unemployment in the current climate and would love to hear from you.

Are you a lone parent frustrated with being jobless?

Does having children make it harder to find employment?

Fed up with being skint – and judged?

Feel like you have no choices?

Or, are you are happy living the way you are?

Do you want to challenge people’s perceptions of unemployed parents?
