Ways of donating

<font class="titleid1siteid0"></font>

Gingerbread works practically, flexibly and creatively to improve the lives of single parent families.

We are a registered charity dependant on public support.

Your help will ensure that we can continue to transform the lives of some of the most vulnerable families in England and Wales.

Here is how you can help:

Don't forget to let us know if we can claim your GIFT AID!
The Inland Revenue's Gift Aid scheme allows us to reclaim the tax made on gifts by UK taxpayers, which basically means we can increase your donation at no extra cost to you.

Please print off the form below to let us claim your gift aid.

Payroll Giving

<font class="titleid1siteid0"></font>

Payroll Giving is a simple way of making tax-efficient donations to Gingerbread. If you are in paid employment and paying income tax (PAYE) you automatically get tax relief if you make a regular donation. There is no lower or upper limit on the donation you can give and you can stop giving at any time.

Your donation to Gingerbread is made before the deduction of income tax. If you pay tax at the basic rate, giving £10 a month will cost you only £7.81 because you save £2.19 in income tax. If you pay tax at the higher rate, giving £10 will cost you only £6 saving £4 in tax.

You do not need to tell your employer which charity you choose to support and you can ask for your name and address not to be passed on to us although, of course, we would like to write to you and thank you for your support.

Please complete this simple form and give it to your personnel or payroll department and they will do the rest.

If your employer does not currently have a payroll-giving scheme, it is easy to set one up and need not cost anything.

If you are an employer, please see the information on the payroll giving pages on the Inland Revenue website

Leaving a gift in your will

Deciding to leave a gift to Gingerbread in your will is a big, and very personal, decision.  We understand that your family and friends will come first, but a small percentage of whatever's left could really help our work with single parent families.

If you are considering including Gingerbread in your will and would like to talk with us about it please contact Paula Mallottides on 020 74285409 or email: paula.mallottides@gingerbread.org.uk
