6.1. It is the responsibility of Gingerbread or their agent (who is bound by this policy) to ensure, where any action on behalf of a user is agreed to be carried out by Gingerbread or its agent, that the user of Gingerbread’s services first gives express authorisation. 6.2. It is the responsibility of Gingerbread to ensure that where the service is to be provided by a different organisation working in partnership with Gingerbread, that the user has given express authorisation prior to any details about the service user being passed to that organisation. 6.3. Express authorisation may be given in writing or on the telephone or electronically. Where it is given on the telephone or electronically, there must be a record made by Gingerbread or their agent (who is bound by this policy) that authorisation was sought and given. This record may be held on a computer monitoring system or on paper files.
