9. Ensuring the effectiveness of the policy

9.1. All the Board of Trustees will receive a copy of the Confidentiality Policy.

9.2. This policy applies to all staff and unpaid workers at Gingerbread, to volunteers, visitors, the Board of Trustees and agents conducting business for Gingerbread.  Managers are responsible for ensuring that staff sign the policy upon joining the organisation.

9.3. No visitor to Gingerbread may have access to any files or systems unless they have signed a statement that they are bound by this policy. The person who has invited the visitor is responsible for ensuring the signature is taken, which may be by signing in at reception where a notice is displayed (see para 1.4 above).
