4. Confidentiality and staff details

4.1. Personal details of staff must not normally be revealed to third parties, without the agreement of staff involved. Written staff records are only accessible to the Chief Executive or their named deputy and to the line manager of the member of staff involved and to the member of staff. 4.2. Each member of staff must take personal responsibility for ensuring that they reveal to their colleagues only those details which they wish to be known. 4.3. In exceptional circumstances, such as court or police requests, staff details may be revealed to third parties, at the discretion of the Chief Executive. The staff involved shall be consulted and informed if appropriate.
